Tips manually syncing iTunes

Hey all, I have needed to change my settings and I'm now manually syncing my Nano.

Any tips on best ways to do this? Keyboard shortcuts?

What I do is to make sure that iTunes doesn't ever come up when I open any of my music / video files.
When I want to sync something, I open iTunes, do file > add folder to libuary and select the folder.
I plug my nano in and it automaticly syncs.

Its a bit of a clumsy solution, but we're dealing with iTunes here so its probably the best you'll get.
